This private, one-on-one class is held in my studio at my home in Porirua. It’s a cosy, quiet, and relaxed environment.
This class will be an introduction to the lampworking tools and techniques. You will be taught how to handle the glass rods and make a basic bead, and then move on to some further techniques for adding decorations, such as polkadots. Your beads will be fully annealed, cleaned, and either ready for pickup or posted to you — yours to use however you like.
You will make a minimum of four to eight beads using specific techniques, and if there is time, you go on to make more.
All materials and safety equipment are provided.
Each class is 3 hours long and begins at either 10 am or 2 pm, Monday through Saturday.
Don’t worry if it’s your first time — by the end of the class, you’ll be proud of the glass pieces you’ve made!
