This private, one-on-one class is held in my studio at my home in Porirua. It’s a cosy, quiet, and relaxed environment.

In this class, you will be taught intermediate lampworking techniques. It includes learning about encasing beads, creating bubbles, raking, and how to use Frits and Powder. Your beads will be fully annealed, cleaned, and either ready for pickup or posted to you — yours to use however you like.

You will make a minimum of four to eight beads using specific techniques, and if there is time, you go on to make more.

All materials and safety equipment are provided.

Each class is 3 hours long and begins at either 10 am or 2 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Before you can attend this intermediate class, you will need to have taken a beginner’s lampwork class previously. You should already know how to make a basic bead, pull stringers, and confidently use the torch.

We, of course, will try not to, but we reserve the right to change your booking if personal circumstances arise.
